ROUNDS
PRIVATE INTERVIEW
This is your opportunity for the judges to get to know you, to find out more about your preparations and community work in the lead-up to the competition, and to understand what it is you would bring to the table as our next Miss Aura United Kingdom.
Private Interview is worth 25% of the contestants’ overall score.
OPENING NUMBER
The opening number will be a gold or white dress, provided by Miss Aura United Kingdom. Contestants will open the grand final with a fun choreographed dance, and will introduce themselves on stage to the audience.
The Opening Number is not scored.
SWIMWEAR
Swimwear is a fun, energetic round, and contestants will be judged on figure, form and performance. We want to see our contestants having fun on stage and exuding confidence. Swimwear can be in any colour and can be a one piece or a two piece.
Swimwear is worth 25% of the contestants’ overall score.
RUNWAY MODEL
At Miss Aura UK, we are looking for someone who exudes modelling potential and can command a catwalk. That is why, for the first time in British pageant history, we have introduced a Runway Model round. Outfits will be provided by bridal designer, April Banbury.
Runway Model is worth 25% of the contestants’ overall score.
EVENING GOWN
The final round will be Evening Gown, a firm favourite among pageant contestants. Our finalists will parade in an evening gown of any colour and style of their choice, this must be floor-length and must be a dress rather than a two-piece outfit.
Evening Gown is worth 25% of the contestants’ overall score.
ON STAGE INTERVIEW
After the Evening Gown round has concluded, we will break for a short interval while the scores are counted. When we return, our side awards will be handed out and we will announce the Top 6 (made up of the top five scoring contestants and the public vote winner). At this point, the scores will be wiped, and the Top 6 will each be asked an interview question by our panel of judges. They will then take one final walk, and this will conclude the judging process.
The scores from the On Stage Interviews, Final Walks and a score for Overall Performance will determine the final result.
